Zanzibar is a fantastic destination for swimming with turtles. The crystal-clear waters and thriving marine life offer a perfect setting for encounters with these gentle creatures. While there are various spots around the island where you may have a chance to swim with turtles, Nungwi and Kendwa in the northern part of Zanzibar are particularly known for their turtle populations.
One popular location for swimming with turtles is the Nungwi Turtle Sanctuary, located on the northern tip of Zanzibar. This sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation and protection of sea turtles, specifically the endangered green turtles and hawksbill turtles. Visitors can learn about the conservation efforts and have the opportunity to swim with the turtles in a controlled and supervised environment
Transfer to the airport after breakfast. Leisurely morning and prepare yourself to drive about one hour to the Zanzibar airport. Our driver will be there on time to pick you up and start driving towards the airport on agreed time. Make sure you are prepared on time.
